I was so happy to find this Nemo hat at Sea World. I wore it for most of the day and I kept hearing little kids say "Nemo!" as I walked past. I also heard a man refer to my hat in Korean.
The Shamu show at Sea World.
I really liked the penguins at Sea World. I want a penguin, but I somehow I don't think they smell good. Really, how pleasant can wet feathers smell?
After the convention, we stayed a few more days in San Diego to play. Here's Matt and I at Sea World.
San Diego was such a beautiful city, one that I wouldn't mind living in. Here's Matt in Seaport Village, a shopping area near the convention center. We were waiting for a water taxi to take us to Coronado.
Jaime drove two hours to visit us while we were in San Diego.
We didn't just work while we were in San Diego. We made sure to have tons of fun as well. These margaritas were really tasty. From left to right: Cheree, Me, Megan, and Dayna w/ the beer.
Our research paper from grad school was accepted as a poster presentation at our national convention. Going to the convention was such a great experience and is one that every SLP should have at least once in their life. It was so great that we're planning to go again in two years to Boston.
Kiyomi and Kimo got married in August. I'm glad they didn't listen to me when I encouraged them to elope...it was the week before the wedding and I was stressed and wasn't thinking before speaking.
My cousin, Celina, also got married this year. She met Tony in Japan and now they're living in London.
Okay, way too many people to name in this picture. Anyway, my "rocks." Y'know, I really should've posted these earlier and now I know why people have been bugging me to update my blog.
Me and my dad walking down the aisle...
Three of the amazing people who helped on our wedding day...
Matt, Kristen, Nicole, Cheree, Jill, Me, Trina, and Keane from the rehearsal dinner at Natsunoya.
Lance, Garrett, and Nicole during our pre-wedding scavenger hunt and party with our wedding party and emcees. I think they really meant to smile with their thumbs up...I also think my team really should've won the scavenger hunt...
Jaime, Me, Joy, Maurie, and Jules from the bridal shower that my friends threw for me.
While looking through the pictures stored on Lance's computer, I found some wedding related ones. I said I was going to post more wedding pictures, but oh well. This is from my bridal shower from my family. My mom's hiding in the back.

A close up of Kristen's scarf. This year I also completed two more scarves, four hats, and a poncho. I started a tank top and another scarf, but they'll be completed in 2006.
This was one of knitting projects for 2005. It was a scarf for Kristen for Japan, but of course I didn't finish it until she was ready to come home.
As 2005 comes to a close, I can't help but reflect on the year. Heh, I wonder how many other people are writing blogs today about there year end reflections or new year's resolutions...Anyway, it was a fun year with lots of good times and memorable events. Let's see, I made some new friends, bought our first house, became a licensed speech pathologist with letters after her name, got married, went to Vegas twice, went and presented at the ASHA convention and had fun in San Diego. I also learned that I have some really terrific people in my life. Well, I guess I already knew that, but I think that fact really solidified this year. Unfortunately, I also lost some people along the way, but it's okay. I don't have to be friends with everyone and life's too short to spend it with people who are not worthy of your time. Anyway, all in all, it was a terrific year. I was going to post a picture or two of each fun event over the year, but I just realized that I've posted so irregularly that a picture of my wedding and pictures of my Vegas honeymoon's not all that hard to find on my blog. So I guess I'll just post some pictures from 2005 and I'm sure I'll forget to put some good ones in (i.e. Where did my Halloween pictures go? Are they in my laptop or are they just in Lance's pictures on our desktop?).
Here's some of the summer fun pictures I was supposed to post earlier. I think I needed to look at some fun pictures to give me hope that I will some day have fun again. Ah, it's not that bad but Fall Break is so far away...
Me and Keane...looks like Keane's doing that "big face" thing from high school...or something.
Jaime and Joy...I don't know what they're doing. Dancing?

"Keane's" pretty pink purse. Ahh, I'll be nice. It wasn't Keane's.

Here's a wedding picture that I was gonna post earlier but only got around to doing now.
